At present Prostate Cancer has become one of the most talked about topics, especially after recent attempts failed to receive government support to allow men over 40 to get the chance to be automatically screened. Our local support group here in Wrexham is offering the chance for men in our region to come along to a free testing day later this month at Hotel Wrexham on the 18th July. Looking at the facts, there were typically 500 men diagnosed in North Wales in 2025 with Prostate Cancer. Almost 200 of these were from the Wrexham Area. Detected earlier enough, regardless of the various type of action chosen that 92% of patients will respond to treatment so this emphasises best of all why you are encouraged to get tested, especially if there is a history of prostate cancer in the family. We have recently been informed that our group in Wrexham with 140 members is the largest in the UK and most successful in Wales.
